So what to give when it's not the perfect nightcap for the time between the years?
This summer I was at a shoot in Ibiza, the model was moving to the music, the mood was perfect, and suddenly I thought: Why don't I actually share my new playlist? This collection of 114 songs that accompanied me through several shoots this year and which I call simply "Ibiza" with all the creativity of a photographer.
8 hours and 40 minutes of music. A wild mix of deep house, techno, indie-electronic and a few surprising turns in between. Songs that remind you of the sea, of warm nights, of that special energy that emerges when everything clicks and when you're not standing in Frankfurt's December drizzle.
Creating the right mood is pretty helpful for a nude shoot. And it still works best through sound. Not too intrusive, not too boring. Music that stays in the background but still carries you. That relaxes without putting you to sleep. That's sensual without being crude. Basically the opposite of Christmas market background noise.
I just have to say "Last Christmas…" and you've guaranteed got the song stuck in your head again.
So who couldn't use some Ibiza vibes in these times, even when the next beach visit is still far off and your swimsuit is currently buried under three layers of winter clothing?
