She is an absolutely passionate model and puts her whole heart into photography. Working with people like that is wonderful.
For the work in the garden, gardening so to speak, I bought Lina's favorite flowers. A bunch of peonies.
In Christianity, the story of washing feet is a powerful symbol of humility, devotion and servant love. In the Gospel of John (John 13: 1-17), Jesus washes the feet of his disciples after the Last Supper.
I'm not religious and neither are my motifs. Unfortunately, Lina's white dress made me think of the Bible afterwards. Please don't misunderstand. My motif has nothing to do with it and is not meant to be an allusion. It is pure coincidence.
And yet the motif was so strong for me personally that I needed it as an opener. We are in a garden. And Lina frees herself from her clothes and begins to dream.
I take up the dream world again through the bed with the mosquito net in the garden and continue it with her eyes closed. What happens next with the peony may surprise you, but hopefully it won't shock you.
For me, it is such an important final motif in the book. The image I pondered over for the longest time. And that's why I'm leaving things on a cliffhanger here and will write a detailed article next week about this one final motif in the book.
I just figured that it's probably the best to look at the actual book pages after reading this text. Sorry, if this is not self-explaining.
