And so I turned Karinka into a superhero. I was so pleased to have finally found a redhead for my book that I thought she would fit the role of a superhero.
In my book there are blondes and brunettes and also black-haired women. But it took me ages to find a redhead. Red has become really rare, which I think is a shame.
Karinka has probably helped out a bit with hair dye, but that's no problem at all for my story. Superheroines are allowed to do that.

I come up with picture ideas like "superheroine" because I walk through the world attentively. When I saw a horde of dressed-up comic people strolling through the city for the first time at the Frankfurt Book Fair, I got to grips with the cosplay phenomenon.
Although I read Mickey Mouse as a child and also Fix und Foxi at the hairdressers, and even the Knax booklet from the Sparkasse, I was never a real comic fan. But Volker (the apartment owner) is one. And a collector of statues of American comic book heroines.

Maybe Volker should have cleaned the windows before our shoot. Or it's more authentic with the dirty windows, I don't know. In any case, I was glad to have brought a bit of sunshine and color back into play.
And the Cherryfox character could actually exist, couldn't it?
