When I get upset about censorship and prudery, I always think it's just a modern-day phenomenon. I was reminded of the embarrassment of the music channel MTV in 1990.

 

The music video for Justify My Love by Madonna was criticized by MTV for its explicit content, sexual themes, nudity scenes and BDSM imagery and was eventually banned from broadcast.

This certainly didn't hurt Madonna. She was already world-famous and, thanks to the provocation, the subject of all the media.

However, I wonder how ridiculous you have to be to ban such a video. I've watched the video several times, but I miss the nude scenes. What exactly is meant? That you see a guy with his upper body unclothed? Everything is even in black and white, which is automatically associated with art, isn't it?

It's actually a beautiful, sensual video to a suitably appealing piece of music in my opinion. Just judge for yourself:
