Baby Nicols could dance. In South America, you perhaps get the hip swing with your mother's milk. It's simply a way of life.
And she wasn't shy. She showed me a few beautiful salsa or samba steps. I don't know exactly what she was dancing. Unfortunately, I'm not a dancer myself.
And I was happy that I was able to freeze her movement in my photos. I was able to preserve this feeling.
This was my very first shoot after the pandemic break. I hadn't touched a camera for many months and the world had changed. Eight hours with an FFP2 mask on my face for my journey. Then to the supermarket, again with a mask, shopping and cooking (finally without a mask).
Although I love cooking, it's always a challenge for me to whip up something delicious in a foreign, usually spartan kitchen. When I arrived, I had to prepare two dishes straight away, as there was no restaurant in the area and the supermarkets were not open long enough for me to go shopping after a shoot. Apart from the fact that I'm absolutely exhausted after a shoot and don't even have the energy for cooking anymore.
So I prepared a simple rice and vegetable mince pan and a stir-fry with vegetables and pasta at the same time. In large portions so that we only had to heat it up later.
After my kitchen job, I had to drive to Tenerife North Airport to pick up Baby Nicols. Unfortunately, the sun had already set. I don't like driving in the dark and even less if I don't know the route. It gets really dark at night on an island like this. There are no streetlights and you can't even see the sea, even though you're driving on a coastal road parallel to the water.
Baby Nicols and I missed each other at the airport because of the damn mask-wearing. Although I was waiting for her at the exit way too early, she slipped away and later wrote me a message saying that she didn't have her glasses on and asking what my car looked like.
Time passes so quickly and it's these moments that you would like to relive later. Just turn back time. Everything was so condensed. So many impressions in such a short space of time.
She liked the food that I cooked for both of us, which in turn made me very happy. And it was also great to learn about her life in other ways. She was learning Catalan so that she could take the naturalization test for Spain. And she talked about her little dog, her family and her work.
I'm particularly interested because even in this day and age there are still reservations about porn actresses, which I find very sad. Baby Nicols was definitely an absolute enrichment for my book and I'm a big fan of our photos.
