It is always a privilege to work for Playboy. The atmosphere on the set is just amazing and there's so much harmony, you would think, I get paid to write this.
Marie Czuczman is the Playmate of the Month for February 2019. She was a candidate in Germany's Next Top Model in 2013 and as I watch it every year since the beginning, I knew her, of course.
She was such a positive and open-minded young woman, it was wonderful to work with her. She felt very comfortable being naked and was extremely photogenic. A dream for every photographer.
The production took place in Sitges, one of my favourite towns in Spain. Sitges is perhaps one of the top gay destinations worldwide. Therefore the inhabitants are very laid back and open-minded. And so it suited our Playboy shoot very well, too. The town is situated half an hour away from Barcelona airport and has a lovely view over the sea. I am planning to go there on a holiday this year, too.
We worked there for two full days. Long days, from getting up way before sunrise to selecting and backupping images at night. You would not imagine that a twelve pager takes so long to shoot, especially when I say, she was easy to photograph. Well, there are far more things that we produced. Over fifty additional images for the Playboy Premium section, different types of videos (dressed, half-naked, naked, Interview). So, we were quite busy.

Last but not least, I want to thank the whole team. It is something else to work with a make-up artist who is always around and re-freshes the look and fixes the hair permanently. As we were working with available light only, we needed to use both sun swatter and sun bounce all the time. My assistant Jonas did a great job there. And not to forget Natasa who constantly supported me with ideas and checked the images for usability for Playboy!
