When the weather is nice, maybe twice a year, I go to the vineyards with my wife. We go for a walk there and at the end we have something to eat.
The sun was shining, the weather was good and so I went to the vineyards with Kaya, who was passing through. Exactly to the place I already knew.
Why do people like to observe other people's lives so much? Is it curiosity? Is there an emptiness inside us that we are trying to cover up?
Or are we not interested in the people we observe, but just want to see where we ourselves stand in life? Comparing whether the lives of others are more exciting than our own?
Or are we lonely and desperately looking for connection to other people?
I am generally interested in such topics. Because beyond entertainment, I try to understand how we humans function and how I can use this for my storytelling in photo series.
But back to this specific series.
I had prepared a nice picnic and even brought some chilled wine. Luckily, nobody saw that it was a French white wine. Otherwise I would certainly have been banned from the Rheingau. I ended up eating the cheese and half the crackers too. But it was an atmospheric trip to the countryside and even the passing farmer enjoyed the view.
