It's a little different to the stories I've experienced with chambermaids so far. In Paris, a chambermaid once threw my used underwear, which I had thrown on the floor, out with the garbage. Socks and underpants simply thrown away.
On the other hand, I once saw a very attractive chambermaid in Stockholm many, many years ago. They usually come when you're not in the room. Maybe that's why I've hardly noticed them so far. In any case, she was wearing a great costume and was a sporty Swede.
This may have inspired my photo series. I didn't have a Swedish girl available. But Olivia was a great fit for this role play. She doesn't take herself too seriously and had a twinkle in her eye.
We draped the costume so that it looked good (differently than in the photo above). And I particularly liked the garter belt with its unusual attachment to the black stockings. I have a large collection of suspender belts (a bit of a soft spot of mine) and so details like this naturally catch my eye.
The feather duster is made from real ostrich feathers. I'm only saying that so that you take another closer look. I really wanted to bring the playfulness of this series so that my new book wouldn't be too serious. It's terribly easy to create serious and heavy photos. Evil and dark, like in a crime thriller, that's very easy. But humorous and cheeky, that's an art.
