I picked Tezz up at 9 o'clock in the morning. As always, I was a few minutes early. That's a quirk of mine. I just can't be late for an appointment and always plan in a buffer. In the end, I always turn up too early.
But Tezz was on time, which I really appreciate, and came out of the house in a kind of house suit, a cozy outfit, with slippers. It started to drizzle slightly. The weather forecast didn't promise anything good, so I was prepared myself. Like a survival hiker, I had a Goretex rain jacket and a fleece jacket underneath. This made me feel a bit silly, as I normally prefer to dress more casually, but at 13 degrees, windy and rainy, it's better not to freeze.
So we set off on our adventure
My weather map showed me that it should still be dry in the north, so we headed there first. That was good, because we could use the time in the car to get to know each other a bit. As with every model, I met another stranger. We didn't know each other, so it's very good to be able to talk to each other.
By now it was raining more heavily and even Ibiza is no longer beautiful when it's pouring down from the sky. But what was I supposed to do? I had booked Tezz for a whole day and I was only on the island for that one day.
Tezz told me she thought it was amazing how calm I was. I didn't realize it myself. But why should I be nervous about the weather? After all, I can't change it. So we had to make the best of it.
In the end, we talked a lot and spent many hours inside the car. In the meantime, I tried to find an indoor location in Ibiza by phone. But I didn't succeed.
So we took a very early lunch break in a nice eco-café in San Antonio and chatted about photography. We made a plan. So we drove to a fairly remote location, which is featured later in the book, so I'm leaving it out of my story now.
After all the rain, it cleared up later in the afternoon
The sun was shining and Tezz suggested we go to the aquarium. I didn't know where it was, but said yes to all her suggestions anyway. Because I wanted to take good photos and Tezz was such a beautiful woman.
Funnily enough, the aquarium was only a few hundred meters from my hotel and after a day that had felt like being in a washing machine, I felt so liberated. I took my prism and alienated Tezz by photographing against the light. I like effects like this when they are not created in Photoshop but in camera.
A magical end to the day. And a good start to my book. Goosebumps right at the beginning.
