A weekend with my pictures

Three years of work lay behind me. All shootings for my new book are wrapped. After 31 sessions with around 800 – 1,200 images each, I had a hard time selecting the best ones and putting them into nice series.

Who's that girl?

I discovered Katia when she was 19 years old. By that time I had just finished the proof printing of my first book. It was too late to put her into this book. But I knew, she was someone special. So, I beared her in mind and contacted her when the time was right.

Soon to get published

Time seems to fly. It's always like that when you're busy. I am so happy to announce that the cover page of my new book is finished. The title of the book has been set for 10 months already and the logo is ready now, too. So, as you can imagine, I am in the final steps and in a couple of months, after three years of intense work, my new coffee table book will be out.

A great year for me ends

So it's already December again. An exciting year is drawing to a close. I travelled to many places in 2017 and worked on very interesting projects. Many things have been pushed forward in the past months and while I usually rather remain the invisible guy behind the camera, I am happy to tell you a bit about my adventures of 2017.

Looking for blondes

Picasso had his pink period and his blue period. I am in my blonde period right now, Hugh Heffner once said. And I am with him at this point as I currently seek a blonde model for a story for my next book.

My calendar for 2018

In 2009 I created my first calendar. So this year's issue is the 10th anniversary publication. Hooray! It makes me happy to make others happy with my work and I put a decent amount of work into it.

Believe in instagram

Instagram is the place to be. There's nothing else. You can have thousands of followers and become famous. And even get freebies from companies. Instagram is open 24 hours every day so you should not miss out. This is what I learned during my past shootings.

How to get started

From time to time, people email me and ask me how they can get started doing a photo shoot. The obvious answer would be: Just do it. But actually there is quite some work involved.

Hello Instagram

Instagram is the new Facebook, they say. In Germany it's a big thing and a lot of people speak about this platform. It took me a while to jump on the bandwagon. But now, I am finally signed up with an Instagram account, too.

Kicking off 2017

Winter time in Germany sucks big time for a photographer like me. Wanting to work with available light, makes it almost impossible to shoot. Outside the trees have no leaves and it is too cold to shoot nudes. Inside you need locations with large windows. And then you can still only photograph for a couple of hours in the middle of the day. Now, I finally kicked off the shooting season for 2017.

Cleaning up the closet

For me, styling has always been part of the process. When I make a concept for a photo shoot, I also decide what the model will be wearing and I imagine the whole scene. So, I regularly by new clothing, lingerie, high heels, accessories, everything that suits my shooting ideas. And the consequence was: A damn full wardrobe with over 50 pairs of heels, 300 knickers, 50 times legwear and so on. Time for a clearance sale.

Tattoos – art and soul

From yellow submarines to twitter birds, Playboy bunnies to tribals, stylishly written names to something I would call copy text, I have photographed all of this as tattoos, already. But there's a reason why I prefer to shoot women without inked skin.
